(As of March-May 2026)
Ongoing
- Teaching AP English – Finished strong. Learned more than my students did. Success rate of match between teaching style-to-student was 27%, I think. Might have been half my fault, ambitious self-declared reality-negotiator I am sometimes.
- Studying architecture + design – YES. This I grew in, with pain and struggle and strained nights. All worth it. Sketching and discipline are still tender points.
- Climbing rock walls – March-April, yes. May, not so much. Fingers and schedules were a bit strained.
Enjoying
- My new studio apartment – Damn, the peace within this space, even given its constant evolution! Lovely. I treat myself with warm lights, hard resting surfaces, and jazzy records.
Learning
- Go -…nope.
- ASL – A bit, but no.
Practicing
- Sketching – A little better. Slacked a lot.
- Drumming rudiments – Tiny bit.
Curating/Creating
- Summer writing workshops – Just wrapped up the first Sentence Writing one of the season. First Novel workshop going well – so much fun! SAT is a bit boring and tricky, but we’re all doing our best.
- PRIA projects – Gifted and thoughts about more pieces than I actually made.
Pondering
- Connections between the concrete and the abstract – This is a lifelong thought-project..
Thanksgiving
- Funky chairs and drafting tables – YAS
